Great platformer for iOS. The touch controls are tight and responsive. Almost like playing with a NES controller! Shadow Temple update is awesome. Im loving the Flame Wand/Mage Robe combo :D

This game started out fun. I liked the classic RPG-style of it. But after I got to the second world, it got really boring really quickly. There was never any new concepts, no upgradable skills, no challenging parts. All the bosses have the same exact strategy to beat them. If you want to play an excellent RPG game, get Chrono Trigger or something. It may be $10, but it is way better. If this game were not as repetitive, Id give it at least 4 stars.

This game is an amazing 2d platformer. It is a nice retro art with Castlevania like bosses. It not only has tons of levels to get by, but secret chests and gems in the levels! You might think its pointless, but in the chests there are secret items and if you get enough gems you get a secret level. Also there are many bosses who are all hard as hell making it even more fun. The games items (swords, armor, and equipments (called relics)) are also great to find and if you learn to combo them right you can make a really good character. Lastly, there are quests you do when you finish the game, all of them are pretty fun and it adds some extra playability. Now for the cons, the game does not have a character save option, which I would have liked to see. Another thing, the game has no restart button for more play time. And lastly, the game doesnt have any more levels, while for 2 bucks I got more than I wanted, I wish they would update some more items and levels, but I dont think thats happening. There is a lot though, but time flies by fast when youre having fun! So the pros outweigh the cons HEAVILY, giving it a perfect 5 star. On to buy sword of xolan!

If you like 2d side scroll this it very well put together game it can be challenging but it is worth it

So I never write reviews like ever! But this game inspired me to support how incredibly awesome it is by saying it in words. Endless hours of fun for next to nothing. You cant beat that.

Hey I just got this game and I love it. I havent had it for too long but I already can see how many days I am going to spend involved in this game so please dont stop updating it! I have absolutely no complaints but I would love to see a multiplayer. Thank you so much for this great game and keep up the good work.

This is my favorite mobile game of all time. Wonderful controls, great pace, fun all around!

This game is great but I will now be stuck with this iOS install until I can reset knowing I can retrieve my game data please add some form of Cloud backup wether it is iCloud or even a 3rd party solution. When I know my hours of effort our safe in the cloud i will happily change to 5 stars.

One of the only mobile games ive played that isnt lacking in any department. Goblin sword is a truly unique and original game with a great story. Nothing about it feels like a mobile game. It could have easily come out in the early 90s and been a hit.

Classic NES style game on my phone?! I love this game. It has simple RPG elements in a NES style game play. Im on lvl 5 and love it so far. Each lvl has had something different to keep my interest, I am looking forward to the next 75 lvls!

Game play is simple, but fun. Well designed levels with some depth. What sets this game apart from others is the control, its near perfect. To be fair Im using a Steelseries Nimbus controller, however its the most responsive game Ive played to date. 5 stars, top shelf on this one worth the two bucks many times over.

Long thought to have died out in the App Store, this is an actual game that would feel right at home on any handheld console or PC. Every piece of equipment can be unlocked through level exploration or purchased from the merchant using currency that you actually collect. The animation is smooth and the gameplay is excellent. Move the controls anywhere you like on the screen for maximum comfort; control visibility isnt an issue as your player and most of the action occurs center screen. Looking forward to possible expansions.
